To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art.
- La Rochefoucauld

New parents seem especially sensitive to food issues.

BestFoodBaby is all about helping people make the best food choices for their new baby, or for anyone they may care about. Your "baby" may be your new child, may be your girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or wife, may even be yourself =] ... gasp !

Because it's about the Best Food, Baby !

Who am I?

Just a person who has been devoted to making the best food choices that I can make for over two decades.

I've waded-my-way through all the food issues you can shake a stick at....through scientific, moral, and ethical issues to the best of my ability.

Along the way I learned that those people who-happen-to-have-a-new-child were the most sensitive to food issues, and I learned that many people, when they became fully aware of the relevant issues, were vastly more concerned about their own kids health than their own.

We've all heard that "We are what we eat."

Many individuals and groups seem to be trying, or at-least intending to live better, to eat better, to transition to a higher level...to a higher level of functioning mentally, physically, and socially.

The macrocosm reflects the microcosm.

In fact, as I'm writing this these words, it seems almost every day there's a new revolution, or some startling eye-opening revelation in the news. Well just maybe you and/or your family are ready for higher levels, for a personal food revolution in your life.

I have something to offer. I am here to help you make a specific transition, but ONLY if you so choose, because I am not here to tell you what to do.

I am a VERY tight food specialist and NOT a generalist. I will be the first to tell you that I certainly don't know everything.

However, I do know my specific area very well.

I am a specialist in knowing how to shop and cook while avoiding genetically-engineered foods. I can help you wherever you are, but especially if you live in North America.

Why would you want to avoid genetically-engineered foods? You may or may not wih to do that......

It depends entirely on your feelings, opinions, and your belief system.

You can learn more about this issue here, and from my sister sites. Then and only then, if you decide you want to avoid GMO food, I can help you to do so.

I myself have been doing this for over 13 years -- I eat a diet that I feel-to-be healthy, delicious AND also well-within a reasonable budget.

And if you puruse the rest of this site, visit other sites, adn decide that you wish to avoid GMO foods, I can help you also.

And ALSO if you decide you instead prefer a double-decker cheeseburger from your local fast-food outlet, rest assured, I will still always love you anyway =]

But remember healthy food, prepared right, can really truly be as delicious as "fast food."

My job here it to give you the pros and cons of GMO food, and help you to make up your own mind how you want to proceed.

Educated, intelligent reasonable people often may disagree on many issues -- not just about food.

I sincerely respect all points of view.

I will do my best to give you all sides of this issue, and if you decide you want to shop and cook to avoid GMO foods, I will help you to do the same. But it will require a commitment.

Only you can decide for yourself whether or not it's worth the effort -- I believe you absolutely will make the decision that is right for you, whatever that decision may be =]

It's not possible to tell if food is GMO just by looking at the food.

And it's not possible to tell in the USA for example if it says NATURAL all over the package.

That's truly just the way it is right now.

Now, just-in-case you are one of the many people unaware of this issue, please take this opportunity to learn more regarding the pros and cons of GMO food, so that you can decide and evaluate how you want to proceed, for your baby, for your family, or even or especially for yourself.
